Montana Farmers Union Insurance Agency, Inc. was established in 1951 to meet the insurance needs of Montana Farmers Union members. In 2004, the Agency was acquired by Farmers Union Insurance Company and remains a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Farmers Union Insurance. As of January 1, 2023, Montana Farmers Union Insurance Agency, Inc., will operate under the business name Summit States Agency Group.

Although our early roots stem from rural Montana, over our history we have sought to provide our customers with insurance for the rural market, the urban market and almost anything in between. Today we have a strong agency force of insurance professionals serving both Montana and Idaho.

Our agents are members of the communities where they do business and are actively involved with local organizations, volunteering and supporting community events. As a result of their involvement, they strive to protect where you live, where you work, the assets you own and the ones you love.
